TELECA History

Richard and Renate Baeumer formed TELECA in 1987 after becoming reknowned Poodlepointer breeders. These dogs were and are a highly respected gundog breed within the hunting fraternity in Germany. The puppies Richard and Renate have produced have been sold throughout Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Poland. One of the litter from 2005 has actually become a T.V. star, becoming famous in a german T.V. series!

The winter leading up to 1986/1987 were extremely cold and wet, and Richard realised that these conditions were not conductive to producing very fit and healthy dogs. Something had to be done to improve the living conditions of this dogs and thru trial and error came upon the idea of heating kennel floors.

The TELECA heated kennel floor was Born! Right from the start, TELECA only used very high quality materials specifically for longevity and reliability. Also from the point of view that dogs can be quite destructive, which is why the wood TELECA uses is imported from Finnland. This wood is famous for its hardness and resitance to chewing, scratching etc. The wood also has good drying properties if it becomes wet which is perfect for TELECA's uses in these kennelfloors. TELECA has had the same heated floring installed in their kennels for the last 19 years and it functions as well now as it did when it was first installed.

TELECA's heated kennel floor was patented and have since been sold througout Europe, except England. As most people are aware winter Weather conditions in England are very similar to Germany. Cold, wet and miserable!

Dogs suffer with illnesses connected with cold damp conditions the same as we do. Damp fur takes a long time to dry without help and these heated kennel floors will dry your dog quickly and efficiently. It was also imperative that these heated floors cost very little to run. At the moment our 2 kennels cost approx 3 EUR per Month. To giving your best friend a much better quality of life!
